EX-DYNAMOS forward Alex Orotomal has been spotted in Harare, four months after being shown the exit door by the Harare side.

This publication understands the lanky Nigerian forward, who is currently a free agent, is still hoping for a return to Zimbabwe’s topflight despite failing to impress last term.

bhorafrika.com spotted Orotomal just before he hiked a ride to one of Harare’s middle density residential areas where he is staying.

Orotomal was among players who were axed by DeMbare during a massive clear-out in the off season that also claimed coach Tonderayi Ndiraya.

Ndiraya signed him from Rwandese club AS Kigali hoping to solve Dynamos’ problematic strike-force. Despite rave reviews from the coach, Orotomal could only afford one goal the entire 2021/22 season.

“He is an incredible player, very fast and powerful. The only thing lacking in him is endurance, but we are working on that,” Ndiraya told NewsDay upon signing him.

“When you see a defender such as Patson Jaure failing to contain a player, then you know you have something there. He is different. He is giving defenders a torrid time at training.”

Ndiraya is now Simba Bhora head coach.

Orotomal is not new to dismissal over failure to perform. In 2019 St. George of Ethiopia parted ways with the striker “for alleged non-performance.”

St. George had signed him from Kenyan giants AFC Leopards where he only managed four goals in the 2018 Kenyan topflight.
