Yadah appoint ZIFA instructor Jongwe as head coach; Chitukutuku to assist

Scott Sakupwanya sponsored Yadah FC have appointed ZIFA instructor Maxwell Takaendesa Jongwe as their new head coach, bhorafrika.com has been told.

Expense Chitukutuku who was the Yadah gaffer has been reasigned to assistant coach position with immediate effect.

Jongwe effectively started working with prophet Walter Magaya’s side on Monday and conducted training sessions.

The former ZIFA Technical Director is likely set to sit in the dugout when Yadah play Cranborne Bullets in the preliminary round of the Chibuku Cup at Baobab Stadium in Mhondoro on Wednesday.

Chitukutuku was appointed the Miracle Boys’ head coach in February 2023.

He replaced then Yadah coach Genesis “Kaka” Mangombe who crossed the floor to join Harare giants Dynamos FC.

Chitukutuku, ex-Dynamos, Motor Action and Aces Soccer Youth Academy coach, oversaw 18 league matches, managing five wins, 11 defeats and two draws.

The veteran development gaffer managed one win in his last five matches, which include a heavy 5-1 defeat versus Dynamos in Bulawayo two weeks ago while on Sunday he lost 2-0 to new premier league boys Green Fuel.
