Highlanders, which went 19 games unbeaten, topping the log for the better part of this season seemingly on course for its first league title in 17 years, now sits six points behind leaders Ngezi Platinum.

A loss against cross town rivals Chicken Inn, a poor performance in the Battle of Zimbabwe, getting knocked out of the Chibuku Super Cup by lowly Caps United, and a draw against Sheasham have riled the Bosso faithful.

“Us against the world,” said Muduhwa on Facebook, just around the same time Ngala posted a similar message.

Muduhwa has been at his usual best. It is the team’s strike force which has been fingered in most poor outings.

Ngala, Washington Navaya, Lynoth Chikuhwa, and Calvin Chigonero have scored less than seven goals between them in 25 weeks of action.

Bosso fans believe the team should be overhauled and the Coach fired.

Coach Baltemar Brito, whose contract with the Bulawayo side compels him to win this season’s Castle Lager premiership, Sunday told journalists he was taking matches a game at a time.

Highlanders’ woes could be further compounded if the Premier Soccer League (PSL) award rivals Dynamos a win in their abandoned clash at BF. The match was stopped on 38 minutes due to crowd trouble while Dynamos was 2 nil up.

Bosso fans stand accused of causing its abandonment after invading the pitch and beating up anti-riot police officers, following a referee’s decision not to award them a freekick.
