BULAWAYO Chiefs’ red hot forward Obriel Chirinda struck within 15 minutes of Amakhosi’s 3-1 loss to Manica Diamonds Saturday, leapfrogging Fortune Binzi on the top goal scorers chart.

Chirinda’s goal put him one ahead of Binzi in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) right as it marks its mid-season.
He is now on nine goals after 17 rounds of matches.
Chirinda has in the past weeks been proving himself a worthy forward for Amakhosi in stellar performances that reportedly grabbed Highlanders gaffer Baltemar Brito and new boys Greenfuel’s attention.
Both are reportedly interested in his services this transfer window but Bulawayo Chief’s are said to have heavily invested in Chirinda and expect to lose him by a significant figure.
Amakhosi Coach Joseph Sibindi said no concrete offer had been tabled yet while speculation over Chirinda’s future was being fueled by the media.
“We read about that in the newspapers but there is nothing we have heard from our executive, the official channel of communication,” said Sibindi.
“There is no concrete offer. If there had been, the executive would have notified us.”
Chiefs sit on eighth position having registered six wins, including a famous 3-2 triumph over Dynamos at the National Sports Stadium; five draws, and six losses.
