SPANISH franchise Real Betis Zimbabwe has announced formation of a girls’ team.

The new development was revealed was revealed during unveiling of former Mighty Warriors skipper Rudo Neshamba as an addition to their technical team.
“We are very happy to see the formation of our girls teams.
“We can’t wait to see girls around our national regions enjoy their football dreams and develop their talent through the methodology of our club,” chairperson Gerald Sibanda said.
Since its launch in October 2020, Real Betis Academy Zimbabwe has been offering men’s football training only at its Harare and Bulawayo centres.
Neshamba is a ZIFA level two coaching licence holder with vast playing experience both at club and national team level.
Real Betis Academy Zimbabwe is a partnership between a local company called Athletes Sports Management and Real Betis in Spain.
At the partnership’s launch in 2020, Athletes Sports Management director, Gerald Sibanda gave the academy predicted bigger developments for the academy.
“Two years from now, we will be talking about even greater developments for the game.
Sibanda has made several high profile appointments to the academy’s technical team including Dynamos and Highlanders legends, Murape Murape and Zenzo Moyo respectively.
