Sources privy to Nakamba told this publication the permanent deal has been sealed and only paper work has delayed Luton to officially announce the signing of the 29-year-old player.
“The boy (Marvelous Nakamba) is now a Luton Town player. All has been agreed with both the player and Aston Villa. Luton will officially announce the deal as soon as all the paper work has been completed,” revealed the source.
Nakamba joins Luton Town from Aston Villa after falling out of favour at Villa Park following the arrival of Unai Emery.
He has been Luton Town’s top target in the ongoing pre-season transfer window with the club’s manager Rob Edward keen to have him in his team.
It is after his heroic performance when he spent the second half of the 2022/23 season on loan at the club, helping them to secure English Premier League promotion for the first time since 1992.
Luton lost just once in twenty games after Nakamba’s arrival at Kenilworth Road – to eventual champions Burnley – as the side clinched a play-off spot.
