Former Warriors midfielder Nqobizitha Masuku has expressed his delight after winning first league title in Botswana six months after leaving Highlanders.
“I’m happy that I’ve got a championship medal just six months after moving to Botswana. Thanks to the coaches, Jwaneng Galaxy management for the support because we did this together.
“Nothing gives satisfaction more than paying back those who believe in you through such achievements as winning the championship. To my teammates who worked hard for this title, I salute you,” Masuku told Chronicle.
Masuku’s side Jwaneng Galaxy were crowned Botswana Premier League [BPL] winners on Wednesday evening following a 2-0 victory over Holy Ghost.
The diamond rich side who are under the tutelage of South African gaffer Morena Ramoreboli, clinched the title with one game to spare before the curtain falls on the 2022/23 BPL season.
Masuku joined Galaxy in January 2023 from Zimbabwean gaints Highlanders.
He penned a one-and-a-half year deal.
The ex-FC Platinum and defunct Bantu Rovers versatile midfielder also said he remains grateful to Bosso “for allowing me [him] to leave the club and get a new challenge in Botswana,” he added.
Masuku secured a move to Botswana when his contract with the Bulawayo giants was set to expire in 2025.
