HIGHLANDERS Coach Kelvin Kaindu has offloaded the club’s misfiring duo of Stanley Ngala and strike partner Washington Navaya.

Ngala and Navaya, who scored two goals each last season despite featuring constantly for the then Baltemar Brito coached side, have been deemed excess baggage.

After lengthy discussions, bhorafrika.com has learnt that Kaindu, with the blessing of Bosso’s executive, has let the pair go.

Ngala’s exit, though certain, is yet to be completed as the club is said to owe him signing on fees.

The bulky striker, whose contract with Bosso is said to end next year, has refused to be loaned out.

“Navaya and Ngala have been offloaded by Kaindu,” said a source close to developments at Bosso.

“Their poor goal scoring record was a major undoing and the executive has accepted Kaindu’s decision.”

Ngala signed from FC Platinum in 2022 after a similarly dry season at the Zvishavane side.

Navaya signed for Bosso in 2021, scoring on hia debut during that season’s Chibuku Super Cup.

However with a demanding terrace, and equally expectant board the two have had to be released to make way for better talent.

Zambian expatriate, Kaindu, has been tasked with reviving title hopes for the Bulawayo giants who last tasted its glory in 2006.

A former club player, his appointment, earlier this year brought memories of his first stint as coach when Highlanders twice missed it on goal difference.

On both occasions he lost to Dynamos’ Kallisto Pasuwa, a perennial winner who has exported his triumphs to Malawi.
