Ex-Young Warriors attacking midfielder Wisdom Mtasa is reportedly training with his former team, Dynamos Football Club, during the ongoing Premier Soccer League (PSL) fixtures break.
Asked whether Dynamos are targeting to acquire Mutasa’s services when the mid-season transfer window opens, the club’s Chief Executive Officer Jonathan Mashingaidze did not deny or agree.
Said the veteran football administrator: “He (Mtasa) is just training with us. There is nothing (any talks) yet.”
Mtasa’s last known club is Costa Do Sol of Mozambique whom he joined after leaving Bulawayo City.
Could the 28-year-old probably set for a re-union with his former paymasters?
Mashingadze’s response suggests that there is a fair chance that he could sign for Dynamos if he impresses the technical team.
Undoubtedly, Dynamos coach Herbert Maruwa is desperate to bring in a forward in July to bolster his attack.
The strikers he signed at the start of the season have endured a barren spell in front of goal in the first 12 games of the season.
The youthful coach signed Soccer Star of the Year finalists Elie Ilunga and Jayden Bakare who ended last season as top scorers at their respective clubs with 11 and 9 goals respectively.
Ilunga, an outright striker who was at Black Rhinos, hasn’t found the net yet, while Bakare who was at WhaWha has only scored one goal.
Jompano, as Maruwa is nicknamed, also brought on board Nyasha Chintuli who had a bright start into the season last term before his form slumped.
Like Ilunga, Chintuli who finished last season with 9 goals, is also yet to open his scoring account for DeMbare.
