The 28-year-old joins the club on a free transfer after his contract with Major League Soccer (MLS) side Houston Dynamo expired in December 2023.

Hadebe was unveiled by the Green and Whites on Friday after completing his medicals.

This move marks his second spell in the Turkish top flight, having previously played for Yeni Malatyaspor between 2019 and 2021 before moving the MLS.

The towering defender is expected to bring the much needed solidity to the struggling Konyaspor backline.

Konyaspor are currently fighting relegation, languishing in 19th place in the 20 team Turkish Super Lig.

Their defensive woes have been a major concern but they hope that the addition of Hadebe, known for his defensive prowess, is a crucial step towards bolstering their leaky defense.

They also hope the experienced former Kaizer Chiefs, Highlanders and Bantu Rovers defender’s arrival who is undoubtedly a valuable assest in their team, will help them fight for survival.
