GODKNOWS Murwira played like a man out to prove a point in Caps United’s 2-0 win over Manica Diamonds at the National Sports Stadium on Sunday.

With last season’s Right Back Thulani Joseph striking off his boot on the third minute and a series of attacks from their right wing, coach Lloyd Chitembwe could just have created a live wire combination.
Murwira did not just provide the goal, hard tackles and successful interceptions of Manica Diamonds passes saw him being celebrated and showered with cash by Caps United fans at Bay 14.
He left Dynamos in a huff early this year, opting for cross town rivals, Makepekepe, after following out with the Harare giant’s technical and executive teams.
Having been given the moniker Chembere DzaLodza in reference to Chitembwe’s aging squad last season, Murwira joins Devon Chafa another tough tackling player, William Manondo and Kelvin Madzongwe.
“I am happy for the boys they really wanted it and I hope they maintain the same kind of hunger and desire in the next round of games,” said Chitembwe.
Caps United’s win means they currently lead the Castle Lager topflight after week one.
They face Ngezi Platinum at Baobab stadium next, another strong test for Chitembwe’s side.
